smargo reader help

hi everyone pliz i need soome advise on setting up my smargo reader with my dreambox has i have read in somme forum the smargo is updated with latest firmware (1.3) and the kermel setting to dreambox and i was told downloads the dm800 drives and send to the temp file wich i have done but what i whant to know is how do i know that my smargo reader is connected to the box and ready to use without a viewing card inside? sommeone ask me to check in telnet dmesg but it does not chow anything.pliz help thanks in advance

You haven't told us which cam you are using, if it is cccam then you need to remove the hash from this line in the config file:
SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+
If you look at the cccam info pages (http:// ip of your dream:16001/entitlements
You will see something like this:
card reader /dev/usb/tts/0
no or unknown card inserted

hi mate thanks very much for you answer of course i use cccam 2.1.3 and i went in to info page of the cccam it is as you mention on you reply but how do i remove the hash your are talking about to have it working fine? pliz am waiting to read from you thanks

Open cccam.cfg in a good editor program (not notepad), I use ultra edit, find or make the line, it is line number 242 in my config yours may well be different.
Then just delete the # from the beginning of the line.
A # makes Cccam ignore all information on each line.

hi mate i have download the ultraedit but i forgot to tell you in my last post that in my cccam.cfg there is only my cline i have deleted everything else can that be the probleme? if yes pliz what else should i do?

hi mate i have added the line but how do i know that it is working coz i dont have any cards
