Well, I didn't know that before...

Was recording a programme last night for my daughter, and found out that you can watch any other channel on the same transponder at the same time...

Cool

if you try dreamstream , you can watch a channel on your pc and another one from the same transponder on you tv .

there is a pip plugin where you can display two channels , but only for enigma1 .

In the service list they should show up as a lighter colour to help identify which channels are from the same mux.

Another little trick is if you go to the satellites list, one of the options is to show the channels on the current transponder

Next question, can you record more than one channel at once?

To spice this up a bit, on dual tuner receivers, like the dm8000, is it possible to record three programs while viewing another (from two different muxes) ?

yes, all of this is possible. Someone I remember said a while back, that they managed to record about 4 hd channels all together at the same time whilst watching another hd channel (iirc it was on the meo package...).

So it's all basically limited by the hdd limits from what I know... So, with a 4 tuner dm8000, you could possibly watch / record 16 channels depending on the hdd and whether it can cope with it...
